Your 2027 or 2028 Wedding Makeup with Luxe Beauty

Choosing your bridal makeup artist is about more than finding a makeup look you love. You’re choosing someone who will spend part of your wedding morning with you, meet your favourite people and help you feel ready for a day you’ve spent months or years planning.

As we head towards the end of 2026, that’s the part of our job I keep coming back to. The relationships we build with our brides, from those first messages to seeing them in their dress, are a huge part of why I still love doing this.

I’m Abbie, founder of Luxe, a multi award winning makeup studio and bridal team based in Whittlesey, near Peterborough. With over 14 years of makeup experience, I know how much thought goes into choosing the people you want around you on your wedding day.

Our bridal makeup books are open for 2027 and 2028, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our next Luxe brides.

What we’re taking into another year of weddings

Looking back on this year, I’m grateful for everyone who has trusted us with their wedding makeup. It’s a very personal thing, especially if you don’t usually wear much makeup or you’ve never had it done professionally before.

The conversations along the way matter to us. Hearing about your plans, understanding what you love and getting to know the people who will be there with you. By the time your wedding morning arrives, we want you to feel comfortable having us in the room.

One thing I stand by is that bridal makeup should be chosen around the person wearing it. A wedding trend can be lovely inspiration, but your face, your preferences and how you want to feel come first.

That’s the approach we’ll continue to bring to our 2027 and 2028 weddings.

Natural bridal makeup soft glam or something bolder

Soft, glowing skin is a favourite at Luxe, but our brides don’t all leave the chair wearing the same look.

Some want a fresh, understated finish with subtle definition. Others love a polished soft glam bridal look, a smoky eye or fuller coverage. We enjoy that variety.

If you wear eyeliner every day, your wedding doesn’t have to be the day you give it up. Equally, if you rarely wear makeup, there’s no need to feel that being a bride means wearing a heavy base and dramatic lashes.

A useful starting point is to think about a time you felt particularly good in your makeup. What did you like about it? That tells us much more than feeling you have to choose a particular bridal style.

Returning to some of our favourite wedding venues

We’re looking forward to more wedding mornings at Bassmead Manor Barns, Thetford Farm Barn and Holmewood Hall, just to name. afew over the next couple of years.

Returning to familiar venues is a lovely part of working locally. We get to see the same places become the setting for completely different celebrations, with a new group of people and a different atmosphere each time. Although we’re based near Peterborough, our wedding mornings regularly take us much further afield, travelling across the UK and overseas to look after our brides wherever they choose to get married.

Wedding makeup at Bassmead Manor Barns

Bassmead Manor Barns near St Neots is one of the venues we love returning to for bridal makeup.

If you’re planning your wedding here, think about how you’d like the morning to feel as well as how you’d like your makeup to look. Time with your bridesmaids, photographs before you get dressed and a few quiet minutes to yourself all deserve a place in the plan. A Bassmead wedding is always run to complete organised perfection without fail.

We’ll use your ceremony time, bridal party numbers and getting-ready arrangements to work out the makeup schedule.

Wedding makeup at Thetford Farm Barn

Thetford Farm Barn in Baston is another favourite we’re looking forward to visiting lots going into next year.

For brides getting married here, or elsewhere around Bourne, Stamford and South Lincolnshire, our Peterborough location makes Luxe a local option for your wedding makeup.

Your venue might inspire your colours and overall styling, but there’s no rule that a barn wedding requires a particular makeup look. Bring us the ideas you’re drawn to, whether that’s barely there makeup or something more defined.

Wedding makeup at Holmewood Hall

We always look forward to returning to Holmewood Hall in Holme, near Peterborough.

When you’re planning a country house wedding, it’s easy to get caught up in how everything will look together. Your makeup deserves to feel right close up, too, when you’re chatting to guests, looking in the mirror or having a quiet moment before the ceremony.

That balance between looking beautiful in photographs and feeling comfortable wearing your makeup is central to how we approach your look.

We also travel to other venues across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland, Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas. Let us know where you’re getting married and where you’ll be getting ready when you enquire.

Your bridal makeup trial

Your trial gives us time to explore your ideas and create a look you feel completely confident wearing.

Bring a few inspiration pictures and tell us what you like about them. It might be the skin finish in one, the eye makeup in another and a completely different lip colour.

We’ll talk about your usual routine, your skin and the details of your day. You don’t need to know product names or arrive with a finished plan.

One practical tip: if you intend to wear fake tan for your wedding, let us know at your trial. It’s useful to consider your face, neck and chest together when planning your makeup.

A wedding morning with time to enjoy it

After years of working with bridal parties, we know that makeup timings need to fit into the whole morning.

As a guide, we usually allow around 45 minutes each for makeup, plus time for final checks and touch-ups. The final schedule depends on your party size, ceremony time, venue access and the artists needed.

The detail couples sometimes overlook is how much happens between finishing hair and makeup and leaving for the ceremony. Getting dressed, photographs, seeing your family and meeting the registrar all take time.

Planning for those moments helps you enjoy the preparations rather than watch the clock.

Makeup for your bridesmaids and mums

We can also look after bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and mothers of the groom.

A coordinated bridal party doesn’t need identical makeup. Each person has their own features, skin and preferences, and we take those into account.

If your mum is nervous because she rarely wears makeup, or your bridesmaids have very different tastes, that’s completley normal, but useful for us to know. Everyone should feel comfortable and included in the morning.

Planning your wedding makeup for 2027 or 2028

Once your date and venue are confirmed, you can start enquiring about your bridal makeup. You don’t need to have chosen your look or worked out every detail.

Have a look through our bridal makeup information and Real Luxe Brides to get a feel for our work and hear from brides who have already spent their wedding mornings with us.

Whether you’re getting married at one of our familiar local venues or somewhere new to us, we’d love to hear about your plans.

Include your date, venue, getting ready location, ceremony time and the number of people who would like makeup. We’ll take it from there.
